Pork Fat with Garlic and Pepper
Ingredients
- 300 g Pork Fat Choose fresh pork fat with a small amount of meat.
- 3 cloves Garlic Preferably fresh.
- 1 piece Red Pepper Can be fresh or dried.
- to taste Salt To enhance the flavor.
- 1 tsp Paprika Sweet or smoked – as desired
Method
- If the pork fat is raw, lightly salt it in advance if necessary.
- Cut the pork fat into strips or thin slices, depending on your preferred presentation.
- Peel the garlic and either press it or finely chop it with a knife.
- In a bowl, mix the garlic, ground hot pepper, paprika, and salt (if needed).
- Coat each piece of pork fat in the prepared spice mixture, covering evenly.
- If desired, wrap the pork fat in parchment or plastic wrap and let it sit in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours for a more intense flavor.
Serve the pork fat chilled with rye or black bread, green onions, dill, or pickled vegetables.
